Job Fair at the RomExpo Community Center – 30 May 2025, Bucharest
Bucharest, 19 May 19 2025 – The Project Voyager Association – Jobs for Ukraine, in partnership with UNHCR Romania, is organising a Job Fair on 30 May 2025, at the RomExpo Community Center in Bucharest. The event is dedicated to displaced persons and vulnerable members of the host community, aiming to connect Romanian employers with individuals from vulnerable groups and offer them a genuine opportunity for integration into the Romanian labour market.
During the fair, participants will have the opportunity to interact directly with employers from various sectors who will offer job opportunities tailored to the needs and skills of vulnerable groups. Over 10 employers will take part in this initiative, actively contributing to the social and economic integration of these communities.
The event is a key initiative aimed at promoting inclusion and diversity in Romania’s labour market. Participants will have the opportunity to introduce themselves to employers and explore job opportunities across various sectors, ranging from technology, services, trade, and HoReCa, to FMCG and more specialized fields. In addition, job seekers will be able to benefit from free career counselling sessions offered by professionals.
“Access to employment is not just an immediate need, it is a fundamental condition for long-term integration. Through this job fair, we aim to offer not only employment opportunities but also a concrete framework for achieving financial independence, thereby reducing the risk of social marginalisation. We are honoured to organise this event together with UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency, Romania Office, in a joint effort to facilitate access to the labour market for displaced persons from Ukraine and vulnerable members of the host community. In doing so, we contribute to the development of sustainable solutions for their economic and social inclusion,” said Ioana Buzzi, Executive Director of the Project Voyager Association.
Participation in the event is open not only to employers but also to non-governmental organisations that support economic inclusion. These organisations will have the opportunity to encourage their beneficiaries to attend and access the available job opportunities.
“For every refugee, financial independence is a path to dignity, hope, and new beginnings. In addition to the individualised support they receive for employment, this event offers them a chance to rebuild their lives,” stated Pablo Zapata, UNHCR Representative in Romania.
